Goal
Develop exhibition brand and print graphics (titles, text panels, signage) for art shows at the Ottawa Art Gallery
Impact
Created branding, designs, and graphics for over 8 exhibitions within the gallery
Below is a selection of exhibitions I have led the graphic design and branding for at the Ottawa Art Gallery. Working with a multi-disciplinary team of artists, curators, installers, printers, I create, present, and refine designs over a tight timeline. As an avid museum-goer, this work is a passion of mine. It has been a deeply rewarding experience to work with artists and curators to bring exhibitions to life.
Landscape, Loss, and Legacy
Artist - Don Kwan
A solo exhibition presented by Canadian artist Don Kwan. A stunning collection of multi-media art. I created the exhibitions brand including font and colours, provided guidance and input on the design of the space, and created tri-lingual signage posted within the show and around the gallery.
NFT(s) : Passages
Artist collective
Presented by Bureau des regroupements des artistes visuels de l’Ontario (BRAVO), this unique exhibition displayed a series of both physical and digital (NFT) artworks. NFT(s): Passages was on display throughout the gallery with a main wall at the entrance as well as artwork on display throughout the various levels of the gallery.
I created the exhibitions brand including font and colours, provided exhibition design guidelines for the windows on the main wall, and created bilingual signage posted within the show and around the gallery.

Passion for Pictures / Reference Point
Wilfrid Flood / A.Y. Jackson and Artist Collection
A dual exhibition featured within the Ottawa Art Gallery’s Firestone room, I created two separate exhibitions, with individual branding and signage specific to each show.
Reflection
- Using branding to enhance, but not upstage artworks: In my exhibition freelance work, I always focus on creating design solutions that immerse the viewer in the gallery space and highlight the artwork, but always adhere to accessibility needs to ensure a pleasant museum experience.
- Working within fast-paced timelines: Consistent communication with the gallery team and printers is important to ensuring that I can deliver high quality work on time.
Next steps
- I look forward to future projects with the OAG. Discussions with the team will continue to consider both artistic and logistical goals to ensure that design ambitions can be realistically achieved within the given timelines.
